I am thrilled to be the 2nd and 3rd grade Library Media teacher at Woodward. I absolutely LOVE my job! My goal is to bring happiness, joy and fun to every Library Media class.
I grew up in Wisconsin, but have enjoyed making Massachusetts my home since 2004. I have three children of my own and enjoy going on adventures with them, cooking, reading and exercising in my free time.
Sharing the wonder of books and technology with students is the best! My goal is for your children to love visiting the library, listening to stories, finding information, learning how to use technology and checking out books. Please feel free to contact me at any time should you have any questions or concerns.
The mission of the Northborough and Southborough Public School Libraries is to empower young minds to explore, learn and grow through the magic of books and knowledge. Our libraries create a vibrant community of lifelong learners by fostering a love of reading, supporting academic success, and nurturing curious thinkers.

About those Library books...
I very happy about sharing my love of literature with your child.
At the beginning of the school year I talk about how to take care of books. It is important that no food or drink (and very young siblings and pets!) come in contact with library books!
I also talk about the students' responsibilities in remembering to bring the books they borrowed back to school when they've finished reading. A helpful idea is to have a special place at home for library books so they will stay neat and clean and be easy to find when it is time to return it.
I encourage children to keep their books until they are finished reading it, so they do not have to return the book the week after they borrowed it. Books are checked out to students for 2 weeks. They can renew books without bringing them back to the library.
If your child's book should be lost or damaged, please let me know. I know your child will be bringing home lots of wonderful books from the library! Please contact me if you ever have questions or concerns.

I encourage students to exchange their books weekly if they are finished reading them. However, students may keep a book for two weeks before it is considered overdue. Books that students are still reading may be renewed as long as they are not on a waiting list for other students.
First of all, relax. Most times books are not really lost - just misplaced. Often children cannot remember the title of the book they've checked out. And it's tricky to find a book when you're not sure what you're looking for!
If the book is truly lost, there is a replacement fee of $15.00.
We ask that you send in cash or a check rather than buy a replacement book. We purchase only hardcover library edition books for the library, through a vendor that delivers books all ready to upload to our circulation system. It is more difficult to manually add a title to our program and print bar code labels for books from other vendors.
