Principal's Message

Thank you for attending our Principal Coffee on Friday. We had ga reat conversation about the importance of parent volunteers and the role they play, along with our SOS, in providing the best educational experience to our students. As a reminder, ALL volunteers are required to have a CORI/SORI on file to be eligible to volunteer in any capacity.  If you are unsure of your CORI/SORI status, please stop by the main office.

Color Run Kick-Off

We’re thrilled to announce that the annual Color Run is almost here! This signature fundraiser invites students to collect pledges in support of Woodward SOS, then come together to celebrate their hard work with a lively run bursting with color and fun.

Thanks to the generosity of our Woodward families, SOS has been able to fund curriculum enrichment programs, field trips, teacher and staff appreciation, classroom grants, schoolwide gifts, student celebrations, and so much more!
Please look for more information in your student's bag today!  A virtual copy of the flyer is also in this newsletter below.

Bus Safety Reminders

We ask that you take a few minutes to go over bus expectations with your child at home. Please remind them of the following:
  • Stay seated while the bus is in motion.
  • Do not switch seats during the ride.
  • Use a respectful voice level.
  • Keep aisles clear at all times for safety.
When families and school work together, we can help make the bus a safe and positive space for everyone. Thank you for your support in reinforcing these important reminders.

Reminders from the Main Office

School Forms
We know that the start of the year is a busy time, but please try your best to return school forms to your child's teachers as quickly as possible, especially the Student Dismissal Plan- blue sheet. Having updated information will ensure a smooth transition for your child.  As always, we are here to help, so if you have any questions, please reach out to your child's teacher or the main office.

Please also remember to complete the PowerSchool Returning electronic forms that were sent earlier this month.

Changes in Dismissal
The school day ends at 3:10. Students will be directed to their designated dismissal areas.  If you are picking up a student before the end of the day, please come into the office, advise of the dismissal, and sign your child out.  If changing the afternoon dismissal, please do so by 2:00 P.M. by calling the main office.

Please feel free to contact our amazing office staff should you have any questions.
